Day 01: Arrive Delhi
Upon arrival in Delhi at International airport the representative of Max Holidays will welcome you with a smile and he will transfer you to the hotel for check in and night stay.
Day 02: Delhi sightseeing
The day starts with guided city tour of Old and New Delhi. In old Delhi visit Red Fort, Jumma Masjid and Chandni Chowk. The attractions of New Delhi are Mahatma Gandhi Memorial, Humayun's Tomb, India Gate, President's Palace and Qutab Minar. If time permits also visit one of the most famous Laxmi Narayan temple.
Day 03: Delhi - Jaipur (257 kms / 5 hrs drive)
Morning drive to Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan which is also know as “Pink city . On arrival assisted check in at hotel. Later enjoy half day sightseeing includes visit to Hawa Mahal, City Palace Museum & Observatory . Relaxed evening with Rajasthani folk dance followed by local cuisine in a city restaurant.
Day 04: Excursion to Amer and Jaigarh Forts
The day starts with an excursion to Amer and Jaigarh fort which hold the attractions of Rajput architecture. The fort of Amer is situated atop the Aravalli hills and we take an Elephant ride to reach the fort. Later visit Jaigarh Fort where you can see the world's biggest canon. Evening explore the city and enjoy a rickshaw ride into the streets.
Day 05: Jaipur - Agra (245 kms / 5 hrs drive) -
After breakfast head to Agra en route visiting “The Ghost Town of Fatehpur Sikri”. Upon arrival assisted check in at hotel. After wash and change enjoy guided city tour visiting “The Monument of Love- Taj Mahal”.Also visit Agra Fort built by Akbar as his citadel over the years 1565-73 in the finest architectural style. If time permits visit Itimad –Ud –Daulah. Evening relax in the hotel.
Day 06: Agra – Jhansi –Orchha
Today we experience a short journey in a super fast Indian rail. Board the train from Agra railway station at 0810 hrs to reach Jhansi at around 1100 hrs. Then we drive to the village of Orchha which has its importance due to the beautiful Fort and Temples. Visit to Orchha Fort and Temples named Ramji Mandir, Raj Mandir and Jahangir Mahal which are example of architectural conception of unusual vigor and intricate sophistication. Enjoy your stay at Orchha in a heritage resort.
Day 07: Orchha - Khajuraho (178 kms / 4 hrs.)
After breakfast we head to Khajuraho - The Chandela temples at Khajuraho are among the most creative examples of Indian architecture and is celebrating its Millennium. Khajuraho has achieved fame for the sensual appeal of the erotic sculptures. The sculptures of Khajuraho depict the every day life of the people and the court in 10th and 11th centuries. Khajuraho is not something that can be described in words; it has to be experienced. Half day guided tour to the Eastern Part of the temples.
Day 08: Khajuraho - Varanasi by flight
Visit to the best known ‘western part’ of the temples this morning and then fly to Varanasi. Varanasi, sprawling along the left bank of the holy River Ganges, is the holiest city for Hindu region. The Shrines, Old Temples and Palaces rising in several tiers from the water's edge makes Varanasi one of the most fascinating cities in the East. Upon arrival assisted transfer to hotel. Relaxed evening in the hotel.
Day 09: Varanasi sightseeing
Early morning experience a boat ride on holy River Ganges to witness the early offerings and prayer on the bank of the river. After breakfast proceed for an offerings and prayer on the bank of the river. After breakfast proceed for an attaining enlightenment. Visit the temples of Varanasi, the Golden Temple dedicated to lord Shiva, The Durga temple dedicated to goddess Durga Interestingly the Durga temple is also known as the Monkey Temple due to the largenumber of monkeys found in the temple premises. Drive through the Banaras Hindu University.
Day 10: Varanasi-Delhi by flight (night train journey is
also available)
After breakfast fly to Delhi. Assisted transfer to pre-booked hotel in Delhi. Time free to explore the city and doing your last minute shopping etc.
Day 11: Leave Delhi
The representative of Max Holidays will ensure timely transfer for you to the airport to board your onward flight.
