Day 01: Delhi - Manali

Day 02: Manali - Jispa 3142mts/145kms/6hrs
Start the steep climb to the top of Rohtang Pass, 3980 m, from where you can, on a clear day see snow covered Himalayan peaks. Enroute arrive in Keylong, a secluded Himalayan town where we can see some Buddhist monasteries. Reach and lodge at Jispa after a 6-7 hrs drive. Stay in Hotel Ibex.

Day 03: Jispa - Pang 4630mts/160kms/6hrs
Over 4890m high Baralacha Pass & 5065m high Lunglacha Pass. Drive along Suraj tal. Stay in a camp.

Day 04: Pang - Tso Moriri 4520mts/113kms/6hrs
Turn off from the main highway at Mangzul. Cross Tsokar and 5030m high Polo Kongka La. Night stay in a camp.

Day 05: Tso Moriri Tso Moriri lake is 28 kms
Home to Kyang, the wild ass, marmots and hares. Also Tso Moriri is a nestling haven for rare bird species.

Day 06: Tso Moriri - Pangang Tso 4256mts/304kms/12hrs
Over 5183m high Chang La. Half of 130 kms. long lake is in Tibet. Home to Chang pa, the nomad herd people of Tibet and their pashmina goats. Stay in a camp.

Day 07: Pangang Tso - Leh 3505mts/153kms/6hrs
Visit Thiksey monastery en route. Stay in a hotel.

Day 08: Leh
Visit Leh Palace, Shanti Stupa or raft in Indus

Day 09: Leh - Kargil 2743mts/231kms/7hrs
Via Lamayuru, 4094m high Fotu La and 3719m high Namika La. Stay in a guest-house.

Day 10: Kargil - Rangdum 95kms/6hrs
Beautiful Suru Valley starts. See glaciers of the Nun-Kun massif. Stay in a guest-house.

Day 11: Rangdum - Padum 3610mts/105kms/6hrs
Over 4400m high Penzi La. Stay in a guest-house.

Day 12: Padum
Two rivers meet here to form Zanskar River. Wide valley

Day 13: Padum - Rangdum 105kms/6hrs
Start journey towards home.

Day 14: Rangdum-Kargil 95kms/6hrs
To Srinagar over 3465m high Zoji La. Stay in Srinagar in houseboats in Dal lake.
