Day 01 : Arrive Mumbai
Welcome on arrival at international airport by Travel representative and transferred
to hotel for overnight stay. This morning enjoy lazy breakfast at the hotel
with half day guided city tour drive only to acclimatise to the Indian weather,
people and great food. Evening transfer to Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus to
board the definition of luxury redefined in India abord the Deccan Odyssey
train. The true style of a successful warrior teasing himself in the laps
of sheer luxury and royalty.
Day 02 : Jaigadh - Ganapatipule - Ratnagiri
Morning - Arrival at Bhoke Railway Station. Reach Rai Bhatgaon Jetty by AC
bus for Back Water Cruise up to historical fort Jaigad. Board the bus to explore
finest beach along the Konkan coast. Free time & lunch at Ganapatipule
beach resort. Noon board the bus for sight seeing tour of Ratnagiri town.
Visit to Ratnadurg Fort, Lokmanaya Tilak Smarak and free time in Ratnagiri
Bazar. Board the train at Ratnagiri Railway station.
Day 03 : Sindhudurg - Tarkarli - Sawantwadi
Next morning-Arrival at Sindhudurg Nagari Railway station. Departure by AC Bus
to Malvan Jetty to witness Sindhudurg Sea Fort From Jetty proceed to Tarkarli
beach resort for lunch & free time. After lunch Back Water Cruise through
the Tarkarli creek up to Kale Jetty followed by visit to Sawantwadi town by
bus to witness fabulous lacquer handicrafts, paintings and furniture at the
"Shilpagrama" in the town. Late in the evening board
the train at Sawantwadi railway station.
Day 04 : Goa
Next day arrival at Karmali - Goa. The most frequented tourist spot in India.
Board the bus to reach Old Goa to witness - Basilica De Bom Jesus, Se Cathedral
and the Church of St. Francis of Assissi that began as a mosque but now it
is an archaeological museum for Goan antiques. Proceed to Panjim by bus. Free
time for short walk in city and bazaar followed by lunch at Fort Aguada Beach
Resort (Taj hotel). After lunch visit to Dona Paula & 250 years old houses.
Late in the evening board the train from Madgaon railway station.
Day 05 : Pune
Morning - Arrival at Pune, the erstwhile capital of Marathas. After a scrumptious
breakfast, board the bus to visit Maratha Phule Mandai, the old central market,
Raja Dinkar Kalkar Museum, which houses variety of artifacts of the 17th,
18th & 19th centuries. Sir David Sassoon Synagogues built in 1867. Proceed
to Rajneesh Ashram, more commonly known as the Osho International Commune
is one of the biggest centre for meditation and spiritual growth. Lunch &
free time at Hotel Le Meridian. Then visit, the Tribal Musuem having collection
of 2000 rare and precious articles related to tribal life. Aga Khan Palace,
a place where Mahatma Gandhi was incarcerated during freedom struggle soon
after the Quit India movement was launched. Presently converted into a museum
dedicated to the Gandhi family. Witness Sound and Light show at Shaniwarwada
Palace built in 1732 by the Peshwas. Traditional tutari, sanai chaughada,
garlands and kumkum tilak welcome you at the entrance. While the daring story
of the erstwhile Maratha empire enacted by light and sound capture your imagination
inside. Late in the evening board the train from Pune railway station.
Day 06 : Aurangabad
Morning arrival at Aurangabad station. Proceed by road to witness the historical
fort of Daulatabad and Ellora caves, a world Heritage site, having 34 cave
temples dedicated to three different religion - Hinduism, Buddhism & Jaisism.
Lunch & cultural programme at Taj hotel. After lunch visit to; Shivaji
museum looking at the weapons & antique from the great Maratha Empire;
Aurangabad caves no. 7 & 8, Bibi-ka-Maqbara, a replica of Taj Mahal is
a grand piece of Mughal architecture. Free time for shopping the Paithani,
Himroo, Bidriwork from showrooms for a perfect memorabilia. Late in the evening
board the train from Aurangabad railway station.
Day 07 : Ajanta caves and Nasik
Morning arrival at Jalgaon railway station. Board the bus to reach Fardapur
resort. After breakfast proceed to visit renowned Buddhist caves of Ajanta,
a World Heritage Site to witness some of the finest paintings and sculptures
of the second century AD. At noon board the train at Bhusawal railway station.
Proceed to Nasik. Lunch-on-board. Arrival at Nashik railway station. Departure
to visit Panchawati Ghat and Sula Winery Yard. Wine & dine at the winery
yard. Late in the evening board the train at Nashik railway station.
Day 08 : Arrive Mumbai
Morning arrive Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus station and transfer to hotel
for wash n change. Later, half day city sightseeing of the commercial capital
of India. Also famous for its cinema and theatre industry known as the Bollywood.
Enjoy visits to the Chowpatty, Marine Drive, Elephanta caves, Prince of Wales
museum and the night life of the happenign and lively city of Mumbai (Bombay).
Late evening transfer to international airport to board flight for onward
destination.
